Denslow Brown Presents "Processing Modalities" for our January 2014 meeting. CEU Qualifying
The Virtual Chapter is pleased to have Denslow Brown present during our January 2014 meeting. She will be talking about Processing Modalities:
Beyond the three familiar learning modalities (visual, auditory and kinesthetic) lay six other ways to identify how our clients relate to their world and the things in it (taste/smell, tactile, verbal processing, emotions, cognitive and intuitive). Together these nine are more accurately called processing modalities as living a manageable life is not just about learning, but about processing information and the environment to function better.
These nine processing modalities are straightforward; they clarify and build on what many organizers do with clients with the standard three learning modalities. By introducing this broader model to your clients, you can reveal how and why organizing systems do and don’t work for them. This exploration will unlock their enthusiasm and curiosity, and empower both of you to create custom systems your clients truly enjoy using – and the habits to make change last.
