In this teleclass, Leslie will explore the reasons students struggle with organization and time management. She will also, through age appropriate case studies, share innovative and out-of-the box tips, tools and strategies that she uses with her students to help them become better organized at home and school, become proficient at time management, master effective study skills and grow to become more responsible.


  1. Understand WHY students struggle with organization and time management.
  2. Have a resource list filled with supplies, planners, apps, etc. that they can use to help their students time management and organize.
  3. Learn how certain strategies like using music and movement can help a student focus and attend.
  4. Learn how a student’s environment including space, sound and lighting are critical to helping student’s motivate and complete assignments.

Presenter Information:
Leslie Josel is the Principal of Order Out of Chaos, an organizing consulting firm specializing in student organizing and chronic disorganization. She has her ADHD Coaching certification for students from JST coach training and is a long time member of the National Association of Professional Organizers and the Institute for Challenging Disorganization. Leslie is known as a respected resource on ADHD and Executive Functioning in students and has been featured in national broadcast and print media on these subjects. She also speaks nationally to parent and educator groups on a variety of issues and topics facing students today.

Also, known nationally as an expert on chronic disorganization and hoarding issues, Leslie has appeared on many episodes of TLC’s hit television show, “Hoarding: Buried Alive”, the Cooking Channel’s television special, “Stuffed: Food Hoarders”, “dLife-TV” and the Hallmark Channel’s “The Better Show” as their organizing expert. She is frequently quoted in mainstream news media such as MORE Magazine, Better Homes and Gardens, New York’s Daily News, and many other print media.

Leslie is the creator of the award winning “Academic Planner: A Tool for Time Management” (a student planner that helps teach middle and high schoolers time management). She is the co-author of the award winning “The Complete Diabetes Organizer: Your Guide to a Less Stressful and More Manageable Diabetes Life”. Her second book, “What’s the Deal with Teens and Time Management?” will be published by People Tested Publications in early 2015.
